Default Price of new clutch for 993 TT?

I did a search and couldn't find anything except one where Viper Bob said the parts alone were $2,200.00 but in that post I believe the engine was already out so the labor would be less in that case.

Any idea on the price of stock clutch job at an indie or dealer for the 993TT.

I'm curious what the cost would be to pull out the engine, install stock clutch, etc.....

Just want to be prepared.......

Thanks!

12 to 16 hours of labor depending on how generous the indie is i believ it is 2400 at the dealer

clutch... or clutch and flywheel ?
depending on how many miles your car has done, you maybe advised to replace the dual mass flywheel.

.....or upgrade to a single mass....

Right now the car only has 38k on it. Not sure when I will need a clutch or flywheel, just curious as to how much it's going to hurt the wallet at an indie or dealer. More then likely an independent shop.

Parts are 700ish I think from Viper Bob.

It took us the weekend to do it.

Hi Guys,

I just had some minor leacks repaired on my '98 TT that took major effort...according to the garage!! The engine was almost rebuilt to replace the RH head gaskets and rebuilt with new gaskets and seals. I was really dissapointed with the leaks, especially as I've only covered 44,000 miles on my baby......and it's not been on the track.
After the repair, my clutch now gives a slight judder when depressed. This judder starts just as the pedal is about to touch the floor.
Gear changes as A-OK and the performance is as expected - thrilling. I'm wondering if this is a sign of clutch wear and possible change or is this due to the engine being stripped and re-fitted with a mistake?

Appreciate your advice,

rgds

It depends on your indie/dealer's labor rate. 12-16 hrs. x hourly rate. Here's a partial list of required parts from Pelican:

Pressure plate - $617
Clutch disc - $135
Throwout bearing - $110
Updated throwout guide - $69
Flywheel - $950
Flywheel bolts - $36

There are probably several other shims, etc. I've missed. The VB price of $2200 for everything sounds about right.
