Default AWD Dynojet? Safe for viscous coupler?

Planning on dynoing my car for a baseline next weekend and have heard stories (and read posts) of dynos being particulary harsh on the viscous coupler. What do you guys think about a 993tt on an AWD dynojet?

Need a baseline prior to Kevin's stage I ! (the turbo begineth)

Dont do it!

It doesnt take that long to undo it - you will just end up frying the coupler......

Best,

Simon.

Also the Dyno Dynamics is OK for the AWDs. Just not many of them around.

Bob the Dyno-dynamics unit is not mechanically linked between the front and rear rollers..

Per Porsche requirements, you must have a dyno that has a physical chain-driveshaft or belt that will link the front and rear rollers..

Jason, I own a Dynapack.. It is not mechanically linked. Even though the electronic/sync control is very good front/rear. It isn't mechanically linked. If you want to dyno the 993TT pull/disconnect the drive coupler and then stick it on a Dynapack...

If you want back to back/very accurate results use a Dynapack. Run the baseline and then run the modded hardware.

I understand that with the Dynapack there is no mechanical linkage and why that is bad but if the front and rear wheel speeds are matched electronically I don't see what the problem is? I was hoping there might be some new information since Sharky's old 996TT thread that I linked. I sorta got the idea from that thread that maybe the wrong brand of dyno was blamed for the failure but nothing was really clear? I know in theory there should be no problems but ...
