Default PPI Springfield, Missouri?

OK Guys,

I am one step closer to a 993tt purchase in Springfield, Missouri (willhoit enterprises). My research has indicated the need for a PPI. However, if the inspection comes out clean, this car is a good value. Soooo, anyone out there know a good shop in the Springfield, Missouri area?? I,m very excited but am approaching with caution as many have mentioned in this forum

No one in Springfield will do a PPI that shows anything negative about the big car brokers there, they are the engine that runs the local economy.

Untrue, I was born/raised in MO, such blanket statments are just not so. The problem with a PPi there is finding a porsche dealer/indy close who can do it promptly. Usually a deal like that won't last long there, inside of a week that car will be gone. But, what do I know, I'm just a stupid old hillbilly

I was down there last weekend for my sons BB tourney. No one exists in that area that I have heard of, their cars are top quality from what I have seen. Willhoit and Premier share the same building last I knew and I think Premier will take the car back if not satisfied after you get it. I would speak to them about your concerns and contract based on a good PPI done after you get the car. If its got significant mech. issues they take it back & ship it on their dime. Both of those dealerships put alot of cars on the R-List and are known in Porsche circles, it would be a mistake to there reputation.

I would also add you could ship it north 120 miles to KC and have Kasper look at it at Imagine Auto. He is pretty good and I would take a look for you if you chose this option.

Thanks for the input guys. I have had several conversations with Michael Willhoit and he stands behind his cars. I am having a compression check done at a franchise porsche dealer in Sprinfield. If this checks out, the car will be shipped to Hergies in Lake Forest for a closer look. Laura at Hergies stressed the importance of a secondary air injection test that they will perform. If all goes well, I will be the proud owner of a 96 arena red 993tt with 56K on the odometer.

I just bought a 97tt from Willhoit which is en route to me now. I had him put in writing that if my mech found any problems with the car, I could ship it back for full refund. I also got a copy of the 100 point PPI that was done by Import Specialists in Springfield and got to talk to the guy who did the inspection. Seemed quite straightforward, but you never know for sure until you have it checked by someone you know. Guy's name is Frank 417 873 3444. Michael was very up front and agreed to all my requests. He seems to have a good rep and he deals in low mile mint level cars. You pay more but unless it was driven by an idiot, you can sleep better.

does he come down off his asking prices as I found them to be high, even for mint condition?

Default willhoit

I didn't have much room to negotiate since I asked him to find me a low miles 97 tt blk/blk (8600mi) as soon as possible. I did'nt think he'd find one so FAST with everything I wanted. I really didn't know if another would pop up as quickly, but who knows there may be plenty out there, but the low mile ones I'm sure are not that plentiful. I can't speak for him, but if you tell him what you want to spend he'd probably work with you. He IS in there to sell cars and he seems to have good quality

Isringhausen Porsche in Springfield is a class act and trustworthy from my standpoint. I'm assuming this is the dealer you are talking about. It is the dealer within the mid-Illinois region that most folks would recommend including me. Good luck with the purchase.
