hello all,

does anyone know of any places in NY or somewhere near LI that do engine upgrades for the 993tt? i did a search and it seems that all the places that do upgrades (andial, ruf specialists) are in southern california. i realize that it is possible to buy the upgrades ala carte. i would think it would be better to have a specialty shop tune the car thoroughly as a package, instead of having a regular mechanic do it piece by piece.

if anyone has any info i would greatly appreciate it.

Try "Power Tech" They are based in rockaway NJ, off of Rt. 80. Extremely knowledgeable w/ all aspects of your car, They do my turbo 540 hp. 973 586 3210 ask for Mike Daino.

what exactly did they do to get your power up to 540hp? how much did it cost and how long did they have to work on your car?

also, does anyone know of any places that can do ruf conversions in the tri-state area?

You should consider Speedsport Tuning in Stamford Ct. They have an excellent reputation as a tuner of turbos. Their website is: <a href="http://www.speedsporttuning.net" target="_blank">www.speedsporttuning.net</a>

I do not believe that you can get a true RUF conversion without bringing in a RUF tech and setting him up in a garage for the period of the conversion. That is what Bill S. did on the West Coast.

Hi Fingercots, I have gt2 turbos,ecu change,no mufflers,just euro race cats, massaged intake and filter, custom valved adj. bilsteins,rsr race oil cooler (much larger than "turbo s unit) Gt2 wing,and front spoiler,and a "little of this and that"!! I was "radared" by my "friendly" policeman, (he's the one that wanted to see how fast i could go)! 192 mph! I think i could of gone faster but the fear factor and what seemed to be a "sharp" turn at that speed lurking ahead was to much for me! The acceleration is brutal,but the car was very stable and yes it got to that speed in a hurry!! We are gonna put it on the dyno this spring should be fun! With the mods that they have done they see consistent figures of around 540 @ the flywheel.

Oh yea, forgot I had to change the clutch, let me gather all the info and i will email you personally midweek, ok? It wasnt' cheap but they deliver the goods,on time!
