Does anyone have details on the rear shock machining procedure? As I attempt to do as much DIY as possible, I am curious if it be performed on a small metalworking lathe or if it requires a shop with more machining capability.

Thanks in advance!

I was watching the Andial technician when he machined/shortened the shaft on my 993TT rear shocks. You need to precisely yet gently clamp the shaft so as not to damage the smooth part of the shaft or you are going to have leaking oil from the shaft seal. My advice, only to be performed by somebody that know what they are doing.
