Post Looking for 993TT in UK, not easy......

This car has been on my fantasy car list for as long as I can remember and has been pretty near the top apart from things with prancing horses on the bonnet and of course a Macca F1. But at least the 993TT has been a realistic target.

Anyway, I've spent the last week looking in the usual places for one and am struggling big time. I've only found a few RHD cars, most of which have sold within a day of the ad appearing and the others are asking quite a high price for older cars. Going for a 95 car doesn't put me off one bit, but the prices seem to be a tad optimistic.

So that leaves LHD. I've come around to the idea, but am a bit concerned about the future value and am wondering how easy it will be to sell on.

Does anyone know of any RHD cars for sale in the UK at the moment or where to start looking apart from the usual places, which I have covered????

Thanks,

Mike.

What exactly have you covered? Do you look on all the independent garages websites? If not go to www.911uk.com and scroll down to the link for independent garages. There are a few around, for about £50k.

Yep, I've been through all the specialist sites and although there are a few, they tend to be over-priced for what they are. I'm just basing that on the guide price and what I've seen some private sales going for.

If the right car doesn't turn up soon I think I'll turn my attention to a couple of nice LHD ones I've seen.

Ive just bought one last week - cost 43,999 uk pounds.Ill see if I can put photos on soon-I had a GT2 front &rear spoiler fitted as well.
midnight blue.
ascender- I was looking for 18/24 months to find right one- keep checking internet/ 911& Porsche World- youll find one.
PS dont buy Arena Red- highly undesirable colour and diffcult to sell on, so I hear.
Good Luck.

Arena red is the most popular 993 TT colour? £44k, with the GT2 stuff, sounds good. Where from? RSJ have a nice silver TT for £39 which you missed out on.

Hi Frank,

You have mail. Hopefully, assuming the new forum thingy works!

I think Arena red looks stunning and a few new AR ones have appeared in Top Marques this week, but I'd heard they were very hard to sell on, so won't bother. I've also decided to stay away from red sports cars (apart from those from Maranello) due to problems with paint fade.

Anyway, I don't have a budget as such, I want to find the right car first and see if its worth the asking price. I am hoping to pick up a 95/95 car, RHD, for around the 45K mark, but obviously I'm going to have to be patient.

I have a couple of friends in the motor trade keeping their ears to the ground for me at the moment and I'm sure something will turn up.

Default 993tt for sale

Check out the Autofarm site - it is my old 993tt but they are offering guarantee etc. It is in very good nick and has even had a complete concourse polish job and all proper pre-purchase arrangement.

That is one beautiful car! www.rsjsportscars.co.uk have a 96 n reg TT for £48k with 52k miles....I think you should be able to negotiate that down a bit considering current values....silver. Did you see the purple one with red leather they had recently?
