Failed Emissions....any thoughts
Failed for to much CO2. Could it be my removal of the mufflers? Has the cats just no mufflers.
Or could it be that they started it and stopped it 3 times before the test? And yes the moron looked in the trunk for the engine.

Mufflers have no effect on emissions, so that's not it. Was the engine completely warmed up? Starting and stopping shouldn't be done, could cause a richer mixture. Try for a retest with a better tech.

I recently passed CA smog with no mufflers, so it can be done. I ran the car on the highway for 30 minutes before the test to get everything nice and hot so the pollutants would be burned off and I never shut it down until after the test was complete.

Wasn't your car in the shop for an extended stay, did the battery ever get disconnected? If so you may just need to drive the car to get the data the dmv is looking for. Something about codes missing, I can't remember. I had an issue like that once. Do a search for smog checks.

It wasn't screamin hot. So I will do that next time. And they were the ones moving it thus the start and stops.
My bad it is CO. 2.07 at 2500RPM and 3.57 at idle. The limit was 1.20
Mark....that is funny. Good call.
