Thnaks for the info, guys, and please keep it coming. I think I'm trying to specifically find the Ruf Rennlisters, but all the Ruf data is interesting. Are all CTRs RUF Vin? Or were there some conversions?

As mentioned the Beddor's black CTR was a conversion as far as I know. Anyone have different?

I am 99% sure that the black car you speak of (SB's) old black car floating around the wholesale world started out as a 89 Carrera 4. They had 2 black and 2 white and possibly all have been converted in Pfaffenhuasen. I have pictures of my wife riding in that car. At one time it said "The Ultimate" on the back spoiler of it. The CTR2 Sports I speak of are of course different cars. Yes Tetzflah you are right, he is an old roomate of mine who I just saw last week. No one knows more about RUF cars than he does, period! MK |

1997 Ruf CTR-2 serial #3 of the 29 built and one of 16 narrow bodied cars. The car is presently in Germany. I am from Canada

1996 RUF turbo R -conversion done in RUF factory when car was new. BLK/BLK/BLK. the car was "recertified" with an engine out dyno run in 2004 producing 529 hp at the RUF factory. Full RUF suspension, RUF big brakes, full CTR2 exaust with dual center exhaust outlets (the only non-CTR2 that ever was allowed to have this exhaust) fully documented -all service done by RUF in Germany untill the vehicle was shipped to the US in 2004. Purchased 9-22-2006 from a collector in Indiana. drove the car 500 miles to atlanta ga... had to put gas in it once. |
