Default PSS9 Help Needed

Ok guys

I figured out why my drivers side rear was 1/2 or more lower than my passenger side.

The guy I bought it from had the rear drop link replaced and the goobers that did the work put on the "stock" one which is 5 1/2 inches long vs. the correct one which is 4 1/2 inches long. They adjusted the shock down to clear the A arm. So they knew they were half assing it. Then they aligned it. No wonder it was a bit darty.

Question is, where can I get the right link and the other question is should the sway bar and link attach ABOVE or BELOW the A arm? It is above right now. But I saw a picture of a regular 993 where it was BELOW.

Anyone have any pictures of theirs?

Thanks in Advance.

Left a message for them this afternoon and did not hear back. From doing more research the sway bar should be below the A Arm to start with. Some of these hacks amaze me

I can understand the existence of hacks, but how they get their hands on a TT is beyond me...

Tim:

Do you know what sway bar you have on the rear ? - OEM ? OEM Adjustable (RS or GT2)? TRG ? The diameter or part no. may give us a clue.

Also, if you can shoot a photo through the wheel well of the end where the link mounts, we might be able to give a simple ID and best answer both your questions... Over vs. Under and what link to use. From there we can even assist as to where to set the sway bar mount on the shock body.

Stay cool. The fix is not so bad once you have the info.

Regards

It looks to be OEM. I will take a picture tomorrow to confirm.

Whether you install the drop link above or below depends on how much the car is lowered. If you're down near RS height, you need to get longer links (like Porsche RS links) and attach them below the a-arm. But you probably just need the correct short link(s) since apparently yours are mounted above the a-arm. A pic of each side will help this discussion.
