I like my PZeros. Advice - only get N designated tires - these have been tested by Porsche I believe at speed.

I would advise against R compounds if you don't track the car. The Michelin Cup does not have great traction until it is hot. Street driving will not get them up to the 170 odd degrees they need for maximum grip. Note, that is not a typo 1-7-0 degrees.
The So2 was the spec tire for the 993 TT - they work well. The newer pole position So2 is even better. Michelin Pilot Sport 1 also work well on the car. The PS II does have softish sidewalls and grip well but steering response is a bit muddy compared to the So2s.

i have new SO2 on my TT. Im not sure they are that great b/c they tend to tramline a little. Also, on uneven roads they track the imperfections in the road and it can be a little unnerving. Plus, they are loud as well.

They may not have max grip until 170° but, even at normal temps, they still exceed the grip of a street tire by quite a bit.

For DE track event and able to drive home , Michelin Cup are very good choice.
