Found this link-out of interest has anyone heard of this car-
I didnt realise this much power was attainable.
Is it a stock engine with mods or did they build their own engine?

Prototech is a distributor for Todd Knighton, Protomotive supplies the program and supports with some other things, but the cars are built by Prototech and the claims are their own. I know Dave is a very solid builder but not so good at customer service it seems. HIs cars are very fast though.
Not sure about that land record, sounds to me like a lot of nonsense.

The car is real, I talk to the owner's girlfriend occasionally and have spoken to 2 folks who have driven it.. it is very insane.. although tractable.... it's a typical protomotive/tech MAP aircooled engine.. I think it won it's class in Bonneville.... but forget details.. one of the guys who drove it has a 3.5 twinplug, blahblahblah, 1.4 bar MAP engine with north of 700 at the crank.... for 993 fans.. he admits it is fast, but it is soo civilized... like 993's are typically.. he needs to drive a 2wd version :-)
if anyone really cares about the land speed I can probably find out..
