ATA,

What sort of smog laws do they have over there in the UK? Is this a concern? Do you still have the stock ECU? Will a "check-engine-light" bother you?

High-flo 100 cell cats are better.. However, not all 100 cell cats are made the same..

Better off with 100 cells, with the new computerised MOT your car won't pass with a cat bypass.
If you want loud and free flow get 100 cell cats and muffler bypass pipes.

FYI - MOT is kind of like the US inspection/smog

Kevin,

Can you tell us what we should look for in a 100 cell cats other than replacing the catride inside? TIA

True 130mm cartridges.. Many 100 cell manufactures have some flow restrictions that net out the benifit of moving to a 100 cell system. That's why I have decided to do/make the 100 cell conversion.

Kevin, can you tell me how your 100 cells would work with an RSR muffler? Also how much louder are the 100 cells from stock cats?
Regards
Bob

My 100 cell cats with the Gemballa is not loud at all . I had RSR with OEM cats before and it was louder. I'll have to give it a little more time with the new set up to better compare them.

If you want to hear an RSR muffler with no cats at all try here.

With no cats it was way too loud. With 100 cell cats I'd bet it'd be perfect. Cool thing about RSR's is you can send them back if you don't like what you hear.

I do wonder about AWE's claim that the only difference between 300 cell cats and 100's as seen on a dyno is 3 hp.
