This might be a good deal for a body shop (or a person with the tools/skills) to put this back together. If repaired PERFECTLY, it still carries a salvage title, which makes the resale in the crapper. This could be an interesting project car to make into a track beast, again... if you didn't have to hire out the work. What do you have in mind?

I hate insurance companies - that is easily fixable - 2 fenders, hood, lights, bumper cover and assorted bits. 2-3 weeks of work but over $10,000 in parts minimum hence why they totalled it. Fenders X2= $4,000, $1,600 hood, $2,000 lights, $1,500 bumper = $9,100 without intercooler, etc.

I don't know Peter - it looks as if the damage went beyond the front bumper. The front clip might need replacing, new front wheels and tires, air bags, complete repaint, etc. Value of a salvage car once repaired might be low $40's. Most body shops would probably get over $40,000 to repair a car with that amount of damage. It could be a fun project if it could be bought for 15 - 20k.

I think Bradford in on the money. That maybe an easy fix if you are a body shop with jigs. Clip the front end and right quater etc. Also it looks like the guy that bought the car is an body guy that can't even do it. The time and money you spend you would come out about the same as buying a clean title car. Car has 50k what about possible engine rebuild. Also you would need a paint job.

No - I've seen similar damage - about $20k. I don't see damage to suspension. I'd buy it- but I already have a 993tt.

What you are not seeing is wiring harness that are cut from the impact, ABS pumps that are knocked out due to shorts when the car was turned on/off.. Dash panels that have iimpacts from body parts. Yes, as a parts car if you could get it for $20K it might look good. Provided that the front tranny mount didn't wipe out the rear section of the trans. And in the end, you have a rebuilt salvage title.
