HID Bulb Went Out
I turn on the headlights and the passenger low beam Litronic bulb flickers a second or two and then goes out. If I turn off the headlight and turn it back on the same thing happens. Do you think I should replace the low beam Litronic bulb? If so were is a good place to purchase this from, other than the dealer, and how much am I looking at spending. Could it be something else like the ballast. What does the ballast look like and where is it located on the headlamps? If this could be the problem I may swap the ballast from each side and see if this fixes my problem. This is why I need to know where it is located. Thanks in advance.

Rassel: Well if it isn't the bulb what could it be then. There is a reason why the light turns on and flcikers for a second or two and then goes out.

i have the same problem but mine comes back on if i turn the switch on and off a few times. its my understanding that the hid bulb should last life of our cars and its $300ish for the bulbs. i'm thinking mine is due to connection. i'm going to work on it one of these days..
check and see if turning it on and off a few times does anything...

So I called Pelican for a price quote. Not bad considering what a dealer wants to charge. I rather pay $150 for each compared to the $300+ each the dealer wants to charge. They mentioned that there were two replacement xenon bulbs. One was a D1S 12V 35W replacement bulb for xenon lights that were currently using an OSRAM-Sylvania bulb and the other was a D1S 12V 35W replacement bult for xenon lights. The second replacement bulb listed made no mention of the current bulb. Why does it make a difference which one I buy? I would really like to know. Thanks.

Would anything get damaged if I switched out the lenses from one side to the other, in the garage, and see if the bulb still does the same thing.

Update!
Well I swapped the light bulb from one side to the other and the flickering now occurs on the drivers side instead of the passenger side. Since only the bulbs where switched I am confident that the bulb is my problem. I will have a new one by today.
