I just flew in from Nashville and I am planning on going over there to meet Dan at 5pm and stay there until about 7pm.

Anybody think they can make it?

Dan and I had a great time talking Porsches anyway. I am going to try and go over there again tomorrow sometime. If any of you guys have a chance to make it over there tomorrow after work, post it and we'll try to hook up. I could probably do it any time after about 2pm

I have a party that starts at 6:30 pm so it would have to be before that.

Robert, what kind of a party starts at 6PM??? Is that usual in the US?

There is a standing open invatation to all Rennlisters who are in ever in San Diego to come to my bar and have a beer (or 3!!). It has always been my pleasure to meet fellow p-car nuts and put a face to the names. Robert came by on Saturday with his wife and in true rennlister style they were great people. I had a great time talking with him (sorry if your wife was little bored, my girl gives me those same looks everytime I start talkin cars ). So far I have a perfect record with people I've meet through this amazing site, all have been very cool .

So if your ever in SD come on by, have a cold one and let's keep my perfect streak alive!!!

 

Dan, what's the name of your bar and where in SD is it located? I will be in the area late July/early August.

Marty, the beer is great and I enjoyed meeting Dan. I'll go back there today if my wife will let me.

The party is a convention party with my broker dealer. I'm an investment adviser/financial planner and this is our national conference. They rent out the entier Embarcadero Park and have live music on five stages and all the free drink and food from around the world you can handle. It ends at nine which means it is back to the Gaslamp for more partying!!!

 

Jamie- We are in downtown SD in an area called the "Gaslamp". On the corner of 4th and Gst.

Woodster- I'm actually going to be in Minn. the 30th of june through the 10th of July. My girlfriend is from there. Every year her family rents a house boat and goes out on one of the lakes and partys for the week of the 4th. What's the weather like then?

 

Hi Dan - looking at the 10 day forecast, looks like high 70's, low to mid 80's with scattered thunderstorms most of that time. Weather here tends to be real changeable - sunny one minute, pouring down rain the next. If you get the odd moment, pm Woodster or myself - we'll buy you a cold one or go for a drive (bring your neck brace to ride in his car).

 

Doug- Thanks for the info and invite. I'm pretty much at the mercy of my GF this week. It's her home town and her entire family lives in Minn. so the chances of me breaking away to hang out with some porsche buddies is slim to none. But if it is at all possible I will absoultely take you guys up on the offer. Thanks again.
