Center Console
Attached is a photo of a center console on a 993TT. As far as I can tell, it is a factory part.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these? One of our customer badly wants something comparable to this, but we have been unable to locate anything.
Any help is appreciated.

That's the factory "phone" console as far as I know. If you ordered the Porsche phone with the car, that is the console you would of gotten.
I dont know what the part # is, but I am sure you can get them from the Parts Department at your local dealer. Or try checking PelicanParts or Carnewal or some of the other Porsche Parts retailers.

I apreciate the response.
We did a dealer search, and it seems none have it.
Price really is not a factor, so I will check LA Dismantlers. I've checked many dismantlers already with no luck.

I sold mine to LA Porsche over a year ago. These were Exclusive options and were list price around $3500. And of course it has a nice analog phone that is worthless..... These consoles also restrict legroom severely, they take away your ash tray (not such a big deal), but also require two holes to go into the lower dash to support the console....

i think these boxes are crap... you can have a good stereo installer fabricate a much nicer leather consol for a nav screen.

I would also go the custom fab route as these factory phone consoles are huge. I would intentionally look for a car that did not have it only because I like the clean lines of the factory unit down the center of the cabin. You ought to look ast the Techart phone console which adds on and is very tasteful, done in leather to match your interior.
Having said that, do a search for center console or phone console. I thought there was a rennlister that had one that wanted to trade someone for a regular unit as he was trying to get rid of the one he had.

I have one that I just removed from my car and am willing to sell. I am 6'3", so leg room was the issue, otherwise it would make a great DVD/NAV display. The console is in excellent condition. Let me know if you are interested. I can also send pictures.

I have one of these in my cars, does anyone know if the teck manual covers the removal of these things. I would take mine out if I knew how to get the bastage out.
