As you are aware, I have just purchased this:

The trade off in buying the 575 was the sale of my 993TT
...a tough decision, but after 2 x 993TT's time to move on.

....or so I thought.
3 weeks further on, selling the 993 has proved to be more emotionally gut-wrenching than I ever imagined it would be
I have not been a happy Q

Now here is the interesting part.....
My good wife has just stated that I should sell her Boxster S
and we should keep the 993TT !
I was stunned.


I just needed to share. I hope you guys also have "understanding" wives

When I feel like getting out in the country and driving hard.I always take the Cooper now.

It handles like a gokart.The brakes are amazing on it and If i happen to screw the pooch(so far not even a scratch)I won't feel as bad as I would if I creamed the TT.

For the buck there is NO better car on the road.

A few months ago I was thinking about getting my fiancee a car (she has been driving a neon for the past two years). At that point Audi was running a great lease on the A4 at $299/mo. I suggested to her that we go and look at the car. We wanted 4 wheel drive for the winter - right now I take my '05 Santa Fe to work. The night before we were scheduled to meet with the dealer she said "I know you hate the truck so why don't I take that and you can get a car you want."

I ended up with a new A6 4.2.

The downside - she hates the 993TT and I'm in the process of trying to sell it to pay for our wedding.

The upside - she LOVES the new DB9 - so I guess I'll start saving after paying for the wedding and the house.

WHEN WE BUILT OUR CURRENT HOUSE, I SOLD OUR 91 C2 TURBO (MY WIFE LOVED TO
DRIVE THAT CAR) TO TURN IT INTO CHERRYWOOD AND GRANITE DURING THE BUILD
PROCESS. WHEN THE HOUSE WAS DONE MY WIFE WAS MAD WE SOLD THE CAR AND
WE STILL SEE THE CAR AROUND OCCASIONALLY. (PILOT BOUGHT IT FOR HIS 40TH B-DAY).
SHE LATER SUGGESTED WE GET ANOTHER TURBO CAR: I BOUGHT A 996 (NON TURBO), AND
SHE DID NOT LIKE IT (NOT CURVY ENOUGH). WE NOW LOVE OUR 993TT: IT HAS CURVES
AND TURBOS!!!!!!!
