mfanatics,

An e30 M3? That's a great handling car. An EVO by any chance?

Where are you in the Bay Area? I might need to bump a ride just to see why the E30 is rated the 'best-handling' M car there is. To repay in kind, you can sample my RUF.

I will take that offer on this summer. I need to get new tires for the car and waiting for it to be tuned. I will soon take the MAF off the car and run a piggy back system. But no, mine is not an EVO, just a standard US model. I will be around on this board to learn more about Porsches so I will keep in touch with you.

Default Yeah, me too....

I also hate them, but it is like smoking, you try a few imes and you"re hooked. I kicked the smoking, this one is going to impossible.

Can I litgate PCNA, I'll contend the HP content is too high and they didn't tell me it is addictive...?

mfanatics,

Beautiful car. Here's a pic of mine. I also have an E39 M5 but I've heard great things about E30 M3s.

Very Sweet 993!!! Do you go to any BMW meets? I think if you have both 993 and e39 m5. When you get into the e30 you might feel like driving backwards. The car does handle well. I used to have an e36 m3 and i think it cant compare. See you around on the boards.

I'm aware that the RUF and the M5 will make a lot of other cars feel like two-cylinder jalopies. Hpwever, I had a super-charged Miata before the RUF and I thought that car was not too shabby. Hope the E30 M3 will feel likewise.

I have done a BMWCCA car control clinic, the M5 Driving Experience in Spartensburg, and an MB AMG Challenge. I also gone on two Bay Area M5 drives, and one BAR drive. I usually auto-solo otherwise.

Ralph Conway, a BMWCCA instructor, did mention that the E30 M3 is low on torque, but the cornering prowess makes up for a lot of it on the track. I don't do tracks, but I do appreciate a good-handling car.

Hey CP...nice to see you and your car again...I had a supercharged Miata at one time too...what a fun car that was~!!! A true go cart...

mfanatic...awesome M3...the M cars are the best...the feel of the original M3 (yours) is so much more real and direct than the E36 or E46...the current M3 has so much great potential...just WAY too much stuff on it...the ideal would be to strip an E46 down to the basics like the E30 model was...then it kind of starts to get close to what is great about the original M3...welcome~!!!

Thanks Guys! Im just glad that you guys have respect for the m3 as much as I do for the 993 or Porsches in general. The only Porsche I ever drove was my brothers 89 944 turbo and boy was that an experience.

See you guys around!

I will be using a Alpha N Maxx Kit. Please see pictures. This is not on my car but is on the way from UK. I need to do more engine work to get some good results for example Cams, larger trottle bodies, etc.
