set4lfe,

I'm no drag racer, but I'd evaluate the HP based on the trap speed (110mph in a 3800 lb car). The ET is more a function of how violently you're willing to launch the car... and HP of course. He was a long ways from home, and was worried about his rear axles, so he did a grandma launch. His buddy in an 03 coupe did a 12.9 at 112 MPH, but the coupes are about 150 lbs lighter.

For Sale: 18" g-force T/A Drag Radials - like new

Check them out at: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....FA+Drag+Radial

(2) 245/40/18 - ($156 each at tirerack)
(2) 315/30/18 - ($244 each at tirerack)
$800 at tirerack plus shipping, tax, etc.

Tires had one pass at the European Car 996tt Shoot-out. Still as new.

For those of you that saw the article, these are off of Alex's 996tt, the imagine640t tiptronic that posted a top 2 or 3 time I think.

Make Offer plus shipping from 80503 - Longmont CO - will make a deal for Steve, oldguy, etc., or any rennlister.

Thanks,
Grant

Indykid,

That sounds like both a great et and a fantastic speed. How far from stock is your car? If its like mine, I'll use your example for bragging to my 03 Cobra buddy!

<edit> I now see a chip, intake & exhaust stuff on your car. Not too different than mine, I think!

gjb;

Alex did not use the T/A at the Shootout. The Tires we used were Michelin's. We ran 265/315's.. The only other brand used were Hoosiers, Scar-go put them on there car.

Default I stand corrected on the 996tt shootout

Kevin,

Thanks for info, I'm sorry for spewing inaccurate info to rennlisters and in my ad.

The tires are still available, as new as could be and are about giveaways.
Anyone?

Grant
