Default 993TT decklid grill warp fix article from Excellence

I had the Excellence article saved somewhere but I can’t find it now. Does anyone have a copy of the article where they outlined the fix for the warped 993TT spoiler grill?

It was in the December 2004 issue. I have found and ordered a copy on eBay. I’ll post a scan when I receive it.

Just out of curiosity, how does this happen? After a drive my haunches are almost too hot to touch, particularly under the sides of the spoiler, but the grill is quite cool. Hence useless for a bbq.

Heat after you park it I believe.

The electric fan comes on even after the car is shut down and cools the engine and presumably the spoiler when air gets sucked through? Must be faulty fan operation.

Extremely hot mufflers are right under rear fenders and the spoiler isn't that close to any hot parts. So same conclusion as you - useless for a bbq.

Must be the floridean sunshine culprit :/

All I know it was pain in the *** to take off the grill in my ex 993tt and glued back with urethane sealer and holding great.
