Any tt with high miles out there
Just curious, haven't seen any for sale with over 80,000 miles. 993 Carrera seem to drop a bit in price over 100K miles so I wondered if 993tt did the same over 80 or over 100 or not really at all. Are there definite dip points in what the TT go for as the miles go up? Any common problems in higher mileage cars?

These cars have the combination of old school charm with power to hang next to modern cars despite being 20 years old. Not many cars of this type out there even at the $100K price point.

There is a price floor for clean cars even at high mileage. I have 104K miles and would not even consider selling it below $100K. In fact, I will never sell it and only consider adding to the fleet.

132k on mine - no issues. Just performed major maintenance throughout, all new brakes (including calipers) completely rebuilt AC system et al. Car is good and certainly doesnt present like a higher mileage car. All that said I am on the verge of selling. Just need to understand a real value in today's market.

Hey Chris,
Regardless of the condition, that sort of mileage will kill it. Its like a GT3 with 40,000 miles, everyone thinks the car is worn out - and market perception is a major driver of value. If the engine has never been apart, the perception is the risk of major $$$ goes up. The things that hedges against the price are things like unique color, or options. Really hard to price, I would say you might land at 20% less than say a 35,000mile car, but who knows. The only way to find out is list it, or try your luck at bringatrailer.com.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I don't think 132k miles would kill it as in being lifeless, but it certainly would not command $125k USD today. A well cared for example in a few years might. Who knows where the market will go. Still close to a six figure car today. They are one of the more sought after models and they aren't making any more. Damn glad I was able to snag one a few years back. It is an owning and driving experience many would love to have.

Oh sorry, I think I was typing and it came across wrong! :-) Its all about perception for sure - I am also glad to have one, and while often tempted by a newer car, I just cannot give up all the positives. fantastic classic that will remain that way, was definitely a milestone in Porsche's lineup. I agree, time will flatten out the mileage perception, its already happening with the 997 GT3's as well.
Cheers,
Mike
