Something is fishy about this one Nota. Cant put my finger on it
but it appears to be lightly optioned standard seats with
supple leather. The bolsters appear to be quite worn. it has
the stainless door sills but no carbon or AL in the interior.
The front right wheel appears in some of the photos to have
considerable curb rash and gouges but I cant be sure. The big thing
that makes me nervous about this car is the language the salesman
uses "no obvious damage" then on the back it says turbo 4S
there were no factory turbo 4S badges as far as I know.
I dont know about this one.

Thanks guys. Carfax 'checks out'. I just recognized that funky badging too. See the right side of the engine (swaybar discoloration)? Looks like some sort of leak?
I'm a skeptic on any car on EBay. Plus I've seen this one on Autotrader for several months. Anyone know of a PPI shop near Queens?

Looks good to me as well, but I wouldn't bid against you Marcus (nt). I agree though, the front plate will be good wall art...as for the non-factory badging, I'm guilty of having passing thoughts of adding an S to my 968 (but I wouldn't actually do it without sustantial upgrades, even then I might not).
There must be a TT driver that would go look just to see it for themselves, and give you a little feedback. Or...it could be your next vacation...

Marcus,
I would suggest that you put a new thread on the 993 board (more activity than this one), with the subject line "Need someone in NYC to check a car", and see if you can get some help with this. A little goober juice on the rear sway bar on a 60,000 mile car sounds like it is untouched and pretty normal. Seat bolsters looked OK to me, but I missed the "Turbo 4S" badging... good catch, Oldguy.

Nota,
One place is the Queens area is http://www.formulamotorsports.com/. Mark was a past president of the NY PCA as I recall. No affiliation, btw. He may even know this car, so may be worth a call.
I would have this one carefully looked out in the daylight.
Good luck.
