Default Looking for 97 / 98 993 TT

I recently parted ways with my 03 996 TT X50 and am now looking for a
993 TT. I'm looking for black / black 97 / 98 TT. I'd like to pick one up sometime between now and the spring. Anyone know of any cars that match the description that are for sale or are going to be for sale. I live in MD and would like to find a car in the Baltimore / DC metro area but I'm open to considering cars elsewhere.

Thanks,
Chris

In the US, it would have to be either a '96 or a '97. No '98 993 Turbo's were imported.

TO back up what Viken said I believe even
a turbo S delivered in 98 was a MY 97
go to 993tt.com and have a look around.

Yes, the Turbo S was sold in the US as a '97 model only. However, the factory did deliver some Turbo's and Turbo S' in the ROW as MY '98.

Check through the various threads...you will note the upgrades from 96 to 97 in the TT. Nothing you can't do on your own if you find the right car. There are still quite a few of us looking for the right TT for ourselves. Ebay is fun place to look and see what dealers are putting out there. There is/was an TT-S here locally, about $98k (Black/black). A regular TT in good shape...maybe $70-85k. Some a little less with mileage still below 40k miles.

Good luck in the search...there's alot of us looking, and alot of 'addicts' willing to be our eyes for a preview.

mrmckay,

be prepared to go outside your area to find the right one. I flew about 11k miles total to 4 different states to finally find the car for me. I tried to stay local, but it really can limit your choices.

As others have said be patient. It seems most have gone out of state to buy a car (I had to go to NJ). The good news there are lots places to look. Go to 993tt.com for these spots. Mike W
