A new addition to the family!!!
After years of lusting, then the personal "disappointment" of the type 996, then a stint with motorcycles to make up for it, I have finally added a 1997 Blk/Blk 993TT to my little stable. I have been searching almost daily for about 7months which felt like an eternity. If it wasn't for the people on the Rennlist providing generous amounts of insight and guidance, it may just have been eternity till I was able to find the ONE.
Special thanks to MikeW for taking time to evaluate a car in Florida for me, Jeff Chan for his great advice and of course Viperbob for his endless question answering not too mention living just 5 mins away. Here are some pics as the car was being unloaded. Btw, one of Reggie Jackson's Mercedes and a Yenko Camaro 427 was on the truck as well.
Cheers!

Bob,
Seems like my pics are larger than whats allowed. My pics are about 350KB vs. the 150KB allowable size. I plan on paying for a rennlist membership now that I have a 993TT, but no where does it say that attachments for members is increased. Any other simple ways to post to this thread?

Fineproperty, just hang in there. I did have a couple of "weak" moments where I almost settled. Trying to convince yourself that a car is good enough should be adequate alarm in itself to walk away. Once you come across the one, it will jump out at you like pure epiphany.
Enjoy the hunt....

And just a note on your hunt and proximity to viberbob....
For me, it seems like once I have my 993TT, a trip to visit him will be like going to see the Dalai Lama.

While up at ViperBob's for all my work, I got to meet a lot of his friends, and local Crazies. Craziest might be Mike, who brought his car over for us to see as soon as he got it off the truck! His car is exactly as new! Mike and his beautiful car and even more beautiful girlfriend:

Hey Steve,
It was a pleasure hanging out with you as your car was getting a treatment at the Viperbob Spa. I still ended up missing hearing your car start up ...oh well, definitely next time around. Until then happy motoring...I managed to add two small rock chips to the bumper doing, umm, triple digits on the local autobahn, yikes! I think I'm gonna go ahead with that clear bra stuff and see how it turns out. With every rock chip a piece of me dies with it...
Btw, how are those PSS9's?
