I think it was mentioned earlier but it looks like molding flash that has been cut off with a knife by a worker after it has come out of the mold. With some variation they'll probably all look like that.

Agree.

Even though this part was not created for mass-produced 993s, the fit & finish of it is truly bush league.

FWIW I have this mod, OEM kit and the install and figment is spot on. Also did the jumper to retain the dash blower so not missing the original setup at all. Of course living in San Diego helps although on the other hand I removed the AC also.
