Default Warning! Buyer Beware!

There's a set of 993 mufflers on eBay which the seller is purporting to be FABSPEED:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/272637436833?ul_noapp=true
IMHO, I don't think they are. The finish is not as bright, the logo tab depicted on one does not look to be correct and the tubes do not appear to be formed like the real deal. In addition, the cans don't come with any tips or straps. FABSPEED straps and tips are brand-specific and any others would be a dead give-away. Comments welcome. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad to apologize but I just wouldn't want anyone to get "burned".

John at Fabspeed should be able to sort this out quickly.

Although those tags look like ours, Joe and I just looked at these mufflers together and a few things stood out to us right away. The muffler cans themselves are flat on the edges, not slightly rounded like ours. If you were to try to stand ours up they would topple right over, those look like they’ll chill there nice and steady. Second thing is the inlet and outlet pipes. The bends don’t look as smooth on the inlet side, nor does the outlet pipe have the length or offset routing that ours do. Third thing is the flanges, the inlet flange is quite aggressive in size and angle and the outlet pipe is simply a massive ball flare twice as large as the flare on ours.

At the end of the day, I would suggest a very high level of caution on this product. It does not seem to be ours despite the tag.

Suspicions confirmed. We're all in this together. Wouldn't want anyone to get ripped off and hate to see a high-end product like FABSPEED copied with knock-offs.

Good job, NC TRACKRAT, on seeing the imitation. I am going to suggest that everyone flag the listing as fraudulent and nuke this guy, or, at the very least, the listing off of eBay.

The eBay seller, accessfinancialeducation, will soon find that, on Rennlist, no one can hear him scream.

Seller must have received plenty of 'helpful insight' regarding the authenticity of the cans by now yet the ad is still up. Seems he has a habit of listing fake items judging from his feedback.
