RSR Sound Wav?
Does anyone have an RSR Exhaust sound wav? I would relal appreciate it if I could get one. If you have any other 993 aftermarket exhaust files, I would like them too. Thanks

EJ,
I have done some recording of the exhaust sound files before, in the end I concluded that it is impossible to get the correct representation of the actual sound of the exhaust as heard in person. In all the cases the computer sound files sounds a lot louder than the actual sound.

Bennetar,
I'll give this a try... Here is a not-so-good quality recording of Fabspeed MaxFlo II mufflers on my car. They sound great in person but my Dell laptop just doesn't do them justice! Besides, it's a bit unsettling to drive away from a laptop sitting on the curb and get back to it before it grows legs and walks away...
Good luck!

Matt, That could be the first non .jpg upload on the rennlist servers. Well done.
Robin,
I know it is not a true representation of the sound, but people sure seem to be clamoring for it. Might be worth a try.

Matt,
Thanks for posting the .wav file! I had it blasting out of the Boston Acoustics system (w/ subwoofer) & had played it several times before the wife came in, gave me one of those "you juvenile delinquent" looks, rolled her eyes and marched back out! If I can get enough of these files, I'll get that MP3 system for my other cars so I can hear the 993 engine "music" ALL the time!

Flash,
I know that look you describe all to well. I have a CD which runs about 40 minutes and has sound clips of about every air-cooled 911: 911R, 911S, 2.7 RS, 2.8 RSR all the way up to the GT2. It also has some RSR sounds on the track. Unfortunately, I do not think you can get it in the States. It was attached to a Porsche 911 book in German I picked up here couple of years ago. I even have it in the car, so that whenever I get caught in a traffic jam I can listen to it... Guess I have a pretty bad case of 911-itis (but don't want to find a cure...)

I am looking for an aftermarket exhaust once I get my 993, but for the most part, I just plain out love listening to them... I hope I'm not the only one.

The best motorsport recording has to be Open Pipe Symphony. They've got a 993 RSR at Paul Ricard, as well as numerous other Porsche and non Porsche sounds. It sounds INCREDIBLE on my father's $150k 2 channel home stereo. I really wish he would sell the stereo and buy an RSR instead.

993RS........the tail pipes come from Cargraphic too. Cost about 250 UKP a set. The exhaust normally produces 102 dbs static 0.5m @ 4000 rpm. The twin pipes make it easier to fit Supertraps for trackdays with noise restrictions.
