yes plus more! A good inspection will give you more information but it can't catch everything. With no records I think this one is just priced too high - 7-10k too high.

I live in Portland, visit Grand Prix just to cruise.
Nice place, pretty good reputation. They buy many of their cars at auctions, often in CA.
Can check car and recommend PPI's if someone is serious.

The video is super cheeseball but the car looks worth a closer look. Pricing is close enough to be worth negotiating if it inspects well. I wonder how comprehensive the records are?

That Iris blue at Intersport is what I would describe as "rough."

I've looked at it briefly twice and came away with the same impression. The pics look better than the reality, IMO. I know nothing about the mechanicals.

It is stored outside. And I don't think it has been moved in a while. It's been on their books for the better part of a year and a half.

Stored outside would turn me away immediately. Anyone who cares for these cars is going to store them inside if at all possible.

Interesting to watch your process Samurai. Its hard to find a good one!

So I saw and drove the 96 C2 today. Here is an update

1. Exterior- 7/10 #3 No dings and no rust, but curb rash on rims and curb rash on the bottom of front bumper. Lenses look in good shape with minimal haze. Rear fender rock guard film needs to be replaced as they are off-color compared to body. There are also various scratches and nicks, that I would not have a problem with except that the previous owner used the wrong color white touch-up paint so it looks worse than not doing anything about it. I would give it a 8/10 #2.5 if this touch-up paint #fail was not there. Pictures of scratches and touch-up paint in the album above.

2. Interior- 8/10 #2.5 The interior is very clean. No stains no cracks. Shift **** showing wear. Floor mats should be replaced. Seats have no cracks, but a few creases that can easily be addressed with the right leather refurbishment. Driver's side door strap has been repaired with a weld and painted over.

3. Mechanical- Starts with a touch of smoke from right exhaust pipe. Idles smooth and oil pressure at 5 while driving. Clutch engages smoothly and shifts through the gears easily. Reverse gear engages smoothly too. Hard braking from 60-0 and car tracks straight with no shakes. Likewise cruising and accelerating hard the car tracks straight with no shakes. Rear tires need to be replaced soon, front tires ok. Maintenance records go back to 2003. Valve cover gaskets replaced a few years ago. No oil leaks. Couldn't tell if there is seeping. In the engine bay the fan shroud showed oxidation. Picture in the album above.

4. Carfax shows six owners and no accidents. Car started in CA, moved to HI for a few years, changed a few owners and was bought by the current owner in HI and brought back to CA where it has been here for the since 2010. The previous owner says there are four owners including her. Will clarify with her.
