Curious to know whether this was recently and whether the car is still in the area.

Yes, it’s still there, they’re keeping it at the most incredible warehouse… full of amazing cars.

Dumb question but here goes: why are there no 993 cars with high mileage selling, "high" meaning above, say, 130k miles? Is the simple answer that anyone with a car with that much on the clock simply isn't interested in selling?? Or is it that buyers have no interest in a 993 with that many miles?

Edward , that is how I got mine, for a reasonable price back in 2016.

My $.02 is that the people that bought them to drive and have the high mile cars realize there's nothing to replace it with that can be driven and enjoyed as much anywhere close to that price range. Believe me, I have one with 68K miles that i get weak and think of selling every 6-12 months.. Then I get in and drive it and there's no way I could part with it. That's just my opinion for what it's worth.

Hey Will,
That's cool, one out in the wild! Thanks for posting that, man!

FWIW, y'all confirming what I "think" about high-mile owners: we know full wellwhat we have. And if sold, there is nothing out there that would be comparable in "feel goods" that would truly compensate for the cash. When I bought my beauty back in 01 I made the stretch in the ol budget because it was my genuine dream car, the lifer car with the wife's approval. Heck I just wanted to get a 911 and these 993s were the pinnacle of the aircooled beasties! I never imagined it would have appreciated, fer cryin out loud! I wish the stock market were as good, lol !!!

Edward

Default WTB roller

Looking for a roller, complete car with a bad engine or transmission or a front clip for a 993 track car. Anyone got any leads?

+1, that's how I feel about my C4S with 150k miles! I'll probably sell it one day when my knee can't handle the clutch anymore...lol!

I've got a '98 with 130K. I'm curious what it's worth, solely because it affects how much I value it with the insurer. I can't imagine why I would want to sell and forego driving it!

Here's a WB with 129k (that can be had for a tad less than $1/mile): https://autokennel.com/featured_vehi...-4s-c4s-coupe/

Seller is awesome, BTW.

the red 993 on PCAR was excellent but it was outside our budget.
