The Bid/Ask spread is becoming laughable. I realize the Turbo in the linky is low mileage, but that Ask is something like 50% over where the market is.
And for all intents and purposes, we're halfway through the driving season for somebody looking to acquire a car this year.
Flippers sitting on inventory must be having flop sweats. Consigners clearly DNGAF and will continue to promise fantasy prices for owners.
My "sitting-on-the-sidelines" position on acquiring a 993 is slowly shifting to a "maybe next year" view. Feels like it's gonna take another winter for this all to shake out. Plenty of other stuff to drive and enjoy. Interest rates will begin to play a role in all this, as well.

Word, I had one and sold it because of emission issues and a prior on it's records and after trying a cheaper alternative for a few months, I wanted back in on a car with a completely clean carfax and no SAI/ODB2 issues to worry about. Once you get bitten and smitten by these cars you're done for!

I agree, I'm imagining the man of the fox's phone is glowing red about now. That's a great looking car.

I just recently downgraded by 2 from a 993 to a 991.
And I am therefore selling my 993. I am open to reasonable offers and would love for this car to go to a good home. It has been a great drive for the last 7 years, and it will always carry a special place in my heart since it was my first Porsche. Having been a fan of Audi and BMW for years I never really got to experience the other German brand, and it has totally won me over.
The only reason I am letting go of this car is that the cabin is a bit tight for me. I am 6'4" and even though I fit, it is not as much fun, and not as comfortable for me as I would like it to be.
Anyway, link for the ad is below in my signature. PM me if you have any questions.

This one has been offered for sale many, many times. The last I saw of it was back in March, with a BIN of $248K. Now bargain bin priced at $189,900

Thoughts on this C2?

Sold on eBay a couple years ago for $54k so clearly a bit high asking for a C2. Looks like the dealer bought it hoping to make some cash on the 993 bubble and got stuck with it, cargurus says it has been on the market for ~6 months..

Pretty low miles but has a number of mods which might not be desirable to everyone, as the seller mentioned in the eBay listing.

this white 993 is (or was?) owned by a member here. I cant recall his user name but he once sent me a drop box link and its definitely that car. I didnt pursue it given the beyond astronomical price.

That odometer blemish on the title history isn't doing anything to boost the value of that car IMO. Appears to be an error, but it's there.

Clearly the asking price is too high but I think upper 50's, possibly very low 60's (if there was a spotless PPI) would be fair, based on comparable cars in the price tracking thread.
