I know what you are saying. It's just that for a lot of people less than 5 feet of range is so different than what we are comfortable and accustomed with the newer cars.

If we can duplicate the range to about 10 feet I think most owners will love it.

What Immobilizer issues do you have in mind?

I am with Mike on this.

My remote battery lasted 5 years and I really don't understand why some people change batteries every year. The only time I had to fiddle with it is because the "prongs" from the circuit board to battery "widened" and had to bend it back a bit for better/consistent power source contact.

The range doesn't bother me as I prefer to have a close range for the car. Only time I wish range is better is if I forget to lock the car and have to walk all the way back. I only have myself to blame for that.

What's the status of this FOB upgrade project please (and the replacement Immobilizer project)?

Will the upgraded FOBs also work for European 993's, or will there be European versions ? European FOBs use 433MHz iso 315MHz...

Wouldn't it be great if there were an "On-Off" switch such that you could by-pass the Immobilizer, i.e., take it out of the starting process when and if you wanted to do so?

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!

YES, the Upgraded fobs are READY and they are a great seller of ours here.

They even come with simplified programming instructions in case that you have your 4 digit PIN code.

The Immobilizer replacement is almost ready and YES, it will have some new features that we are still perfecting which will include turning the alarm system ON and OFF by a switch!!!

Another thing that will improve is the range at which the fobs will be effective.

This is what the new design is looking like...

My RoW Carrera doesn't have any fob, can I use this system and make it work or I will need something else?
