Exclamation Mobil 1 for $3.89 at Target

In case you're looking for incentive to go change your oil, Target is now selling Mobil 1 for $3.89 per quart. No affiliation, just kicking myself for having just paid Pep Girls $5 per quart.

As you'd expect, they don't have 0W-40, but they have 15W-50.

Is 0-40 the recommended oil or is it preferable to the recommended weight?

Oh, sorry to get your hopes up. I would think that Target's price would be uniform. guess that means I should go down the street, buy up their oil, and sell it to y'all for $4.50 per quart....

DC- yup that's a can 'o worms. Suffice it to say that most people seem to use 0W-40 or 15W-50. Let's leave it at that.

Lid popped off the can now......

Any issues using 10W-30W (Mobil 1) up in New England for the Fall mos? Seems to be all I can find these past few mos. I just bought 3 cases and was going to do the oil change this week.

Kim, that is because they exceed the 90 db mark when you open the twist top....

Well, since I started this mess,....
Evan- I don't think you'll find anyone recommending 10W-30 for any climate. Sorry to break it to you. I added $70 of it to my car before I figured it out.

Thanks for the tip. Good timing I'm changing my oil tomorrow. I have always gotten the 5 gal from wallmart(NA) which gave me $1.40 savings for every 5qts.

Anyone mixes viscosities? I'm planning to mix 15W-50 and 5W-30, 50/50 to produced what the owner's manual recommend fo 10W-40. Appreciate the thoughts
