PPI in Maryland
Need to get a PPI done near Gaithersburg, MD. owner recomends Manhattan Porsche in Rockville. Does anyone have any thoughts? Do you think it is a bad idea to get a PPI done at the place that regularly serviced the PO's car? Two thoughts...one: they may be less inclined to kill a deal for an existing customer or two: will know the car already (to a point) and will be better able to perform the PPI. Car had 30k mile service performed at this location about 7k miles ago. TIA.
The only reason I would go to Rockville Porsche (It hasn't been called or located at Manhattan Porsche in almost 10 years!) is to get a Porsche key chain or light bulb for a turn signal!
That said, I would definitely take it to Roger at Autotherapy in Gaithersburg (301 417 7111 I think). I tried the rest, I only trust Roger in this part of town.
Good luck. He's on Snouffer School Road. No affiliation other than I'm a loyal customer! He's a track instructor and big PCA supporter.

Sorry, Jamie, but I haven't worked with anyone in the DC area. Steve's suggestion is most likely a good one. You might want to check the archives, as this question is asked quite often

Steve,
Gladly. The car is a 96 C2...37k miles, black with gray/midnight blue interior....lightly optioned with limited slip, floor mats and not much else. Has nearly new s0-3's all around and a very good stereo system (current, and soon to be previuos, owner is in high end audio/video business). Car has all records (30k service done) and is very well looked after. Has the reuqeset rock chips on the front hood..maybe 6 to 10 untouched small ones. The plan for the car is for a weekend driver with 3 to 7 DE's a year thrown in. Looking forward to a long life with the car, so getting a lower mileage clean example, with good history (at a "good" price) was a priority over options and existing mods. I think that there is some more fun to come in the researching and implementing of the mods. It may be time to get a high speed modem! Owner is talking to Roger as I type and should have the PPI done by tommorow at the latest (at least i hope). Hopefully will have pics by the end of the week. Thanks again.
