Wanted to share this story with the 993 crowd. Some of you may remember it from Excellence a few years back. I reworked it and put it online, and more importantly put up most of the photos from the shoot. Due to space constraints magazines usually only run 5 to 7 photos.
thanks for posting these photos. I took over ownership of the cab from John and have been enjoying every moment. I had previously owned an 95 Iris Blue Cab for 20 years and dreamed of modifying into a Cab Turbo since Porsche didn't offer them (with the exception of some special order one offs). When I saw this car, it had everything I wanted done to my own. It's pretty much the same car but I couldn't help doing a few "tweeks" to improve the ride. I get a lot of looks and puts a smile on my face overtime I take her out. Here are a few photos of her today, although not as well done as Zach's. The last was at the Treffen event in Tahoe.
Sure! If I see you/your car up there I will introduce myself. There is a great magazine cigarette shop up there that sells all the hard to find automotive magazines. Sports Car Digest and Autosport to name a few.
It was a great day - a car enthusiast friend of mine was visiting from the east and I said wait a minute there is a controversial car on the other side of the street we should check out. Then I was able to send him the articles that have been written about your car. THAT WAS THE CAR WE JUST SAW.
WhiteCab (A.K.A., 600RR) ^^ OT: Get yesterday's email ("tech bulletins and manuals hyperlinks for you")?
Speaking of mail -- re: last month's "J - will get the hardware off to you soon" ... FYI: nothing received.
On-topic... Fun for zmayne to remind of that thread ^^ & your old reply to me:
