When I was a kid, I really liked summer. When I grew up, I understood that you can buy summer for money. Now I just really like money (an irreverent Russian joke).
I like money too... and eternal summer. When are we meeting for lunch?
Was a year rounder for several years but then I saw the toll that road salt had taken on the suspension parts and the front wheel arches - not to mention the paint chips and windshield pitting from the 00 buckshot they use for road gravel in these parts.
Now with fresh windshield and respray, she rests in the third garage bay from the first snowfall until springtime gravel cleanup.
I think it's time for obligatory annual posting of my car:
Ahhhh....the back alleys of Boston. Digging your car out is only half challenge. Making it out of the alley is the other.... There is just no where to put the snow.
I love that one. I have it easy because I have a garage but am in the same situation with the alleys in Chicago. The city doesn't clear them so it is up to me to do so. Good exercise I guess. The worst is the ice though.

As if. This is open air condo parking for 100+ cars in Framingham, circa 2005.
Somewhere I have the Boston parking picture. With our lot covered by about a foot of water with waves going through it. Without my car, but still.
Here's another, nore fastive one, from the same Fram parkign lot, You can kind of make out teh shape of a 993's headlights in there:

Still, it was huge fun while it lasted.
Crazy fun Brian! Great shot. But you've spelled it out pretty well. I would think if you want to drive yearly in this weather you'd want to pick up a car that was pretty beat up and enjoy without worrying about it. Your's must look BEAUTIFUL now!
It is great to have such a kick a$$ heater. At zero Fahrenheit it still gets the interior warm in not much time. Oh and the tartan wool seat inserts really help!
