My rear wheel was leaking air. I was told by my Porsche dealer that their shop which does those repairs needs two weeks time to do the job? Sorry, don't know exactly where the leak is, but regardless 2 weeks time? Under what conditions would 2 weeks be needed? Thanks
Your Porsche Dealer likely outsources this work. Try contacting RimGuard or another reputable local rim repair shop. It will be both faster, cheaper. http://www.rimguardxtreme.com/rim-re...ty/SWITZERLAND I had to replace a bent rim on one of my Fikses, and it took just a few days to order the part and make the repair.

I would read this thread and rebuild it yourself. Go through the wheel and tighten every bolt to proper torque. You have been complaining about this wheel for sometime now

3 months ago, I gave the wheel to be repaired via my official Porsche dealer. I got the wheel back after 7 weeks! After one month, it was still losing air! The wheel was given back to the shop by my dealer, and they apologized, and said they would fix it within a week. Today I should have gotten my wheel back, and was told they need one week more!
Can't do a DIY job, because my garage is too small for a workbench, and have no friends who could provide me space, apart from never having done anything like this before (Switzerland is not that much into DIY...)
Actually, I was just using this thread to vent my frustration...

I just rebuilt my bbs due to a cracked rim. Look at youtube.
You need a razor blade, clear silicone caulk, and a torque wrench. Took me a 1/2 day the first time. Could probably do it in an hour now.
Split the halves, re-silicone, and put back together...

If you have the tire off the wheel, you can do this in your living room. I would definitely look into it vs having to wait weeks
Can't you take it to a tire shop and swap the seal over there ?
It only takes a couple of minutes...

$1500 buys you a new wheel.Originally Posted by 993RS
