Post Need help from the family about wheels.

Currently two friends are selling 993 wheels and I cannot decide since they are so closely priced.

I'll tell you my car is 10% track 90% street. After the wheels I'm planning to get PSS9.

Which would you pick?

Fikse FM10 (light and different looking)
993 Turbo Twists (light but Porsche OEM)

I'm so conflicted! Thanks for you suggestions/opinions.

My first choice would be the Fikse's
My second choice would be the Fikse's

I keep my turbo twist factory wheels for my rain tires. To heavy. Wingtips or Nike track shoes?

I'd go for the twists, imho. Great lightweight wheels.

The Fikse FM-10s are a beautiful and light wheel. They look great on any Porsche. If the "turbo-twists" are hollow-spokes, and not the solid spokes, then they are almost as light as the Fikse. A set of OEM hollow spokes in really nice shape can be found for $1000 +/- a couple of hundred. The Fikse FM-10s are worth more like $2500 or so, used but nice. So, if you are being oferred both at about the same price, grab those Fikses!

Is there any size advantage to the Fikses? I tend to like the Fikses better. As you said they are a little different. But it comes down to which you like best.

I'd go with the Turbo Twist, IMVHO I don't think after market wheels don't look nearly as good as a OEM Twist, Now if you are talking between cups and aftermarket wheels,...then I think you do after market.

Trick question, right?

Fikse, obviously. May not be as easy to clean but sweet looking as hell, not to mention light and functional. Bonus points for the deep lip multi-piece look. Then again, I've never been a bit fan of twists.
