Having been in the Porsche world for several decades, I can tell you that there are no fully reliable sources out there. Especially, on the Internet. The misinformation is so widespread, it is downright pathetic.

Yes. And, for what it's worth, the Boxster 201 HP 2.5 liter motor ('97, '98, '99) was upgraded to the 217 HP 2.7 liter version for MY '00.

In deed.

Maybe flat-6 is confusing 2001 because there sold 2002 models then (as they always do).

In any case, as usual, Viken is correct.

Take note:

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what is known as walking into a party and stepping on your own dick.

Bravo, Dood. Nice entrance.

hddude:

I have not been very active of late and I am not familiar with your style of posting. I must say your last post in this thread was not necessary and or germane to the topic. An apology is in order too in my opinion.

Viken has been a great resource and friend to many on the Rennlist forums in general in my two plus years of active membership. Accordingly he enjoys a great deal of respect in a rather small community. If you are not a registered member, perhaps you might join with the goal of postive contributions in the future.

Enjoy your Porsche

hddude: I am an official "card carrying" Rennlist member, I have more than 23 posts, and I have respect for Viken, but I still found your comments humorous, not sacriligous. You even put a nice smilie on the end to let everybody know you were trying to be funny.

I just hope my sense of humour doesn't decrease as my posts here go up!
