To be far the euro-spec'd gearing probably makes it "feel" a lot quicker than a US-spec'd 993 cab.

The original one still FS, go figure: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...537357206.html

New find: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...532859960.html

in case the ad goes down:

1997 Porsche 911Carrera C-2 993 Supercharged Turbo Coupe, Unique.

69K original documented miles. This was the Last year for air cooled engines and the absolute best of the 911 series in terms of suspension and handling characteristics.
This car was built ordered and shipped before the official release of the 2-S in mid-year 1997. Prior to April 1997, NO 2-S cars were built.

This Car was delivered in early Feb. 1997 with all the 2-S features; i.e.Porsche Black high performance brakes, LTD slip, dual power seats, sunroof, 18inch Turbo wheels, oversized TURBO tires and more aggressive suspension. The official release of the 2-S was April 1997. ***In a nutshell, the C2S is primarily different only in that it has the body (1.3" per side wider at the rear...), has a "split" rear grill, has some different interior bits. The C2S does not have turbo brakes or any different engine than C2.

This original Florida car is extremely rare and preserved with tender loving care
It is in almost perfect condition nose to tail. Never crashed. Paint is like the day it left the factory. It has had some minor rear quarter panel paint to remove scratches. Interior & tan leather is excellent. The 18 inch Turbo wheels are in perfect condition. 4 speed Triptronic-S, shift on the steering wheel. Upgraded Kenwood 300 watt stereo with 6 disc changer. Porsche factory upgraded option custom paint color : Ocean Blue Pearlized Metalic. The tan leather is original
Only driven 8,000 miles since 2006. (available vin Audit report verifies mileage since delivery in 1997) Vin#WPOAA2996VS321664.

This 993 is all original EXCEPT for a .... TPC Authorized OEM Porsche performance center installed Supercharger with larger injectors, custom air filter and high performance fuel pump. There is no traditional Turbo-Lag with a Supercharger. Power is available all the time! Making this a very unique 993. She is very fast (approx. 425 HP). I have all of the old service records, as well as everything I have done (Approx. $15,000) and complete details of the Supercharger installation. Compressor,All books, manuals, tools and extra key fab.

Over $15,000 of service and restoration just completed less than 1500 miles ago. New tires, plugs, brakes, shocks, battery, fuel pump, rear Aero spoiler complete rebuild, Supercharger complete rebuild in Dec. 2015. The Supercharger has just been serviced with new belts, pulley and bearings. This is an awesome solid high performance car that runs as good as it looks and will out-perform almost anything on the highway.

Seller missed Rocket Car in his description. Since he had supercharged and turbo, surprised he missed such an obvious oversight.

Obviously posted by a Porsche aficionado with an extreme ability to explain himself using--well, all type of terms that conflict, contradict and seem quite frankly out of this world! Long ago, I felt the exact same way about my very first car as a teenager--lol!

What you guys just don't understand is that this car is JUST like those highly sought-after, high-priced C2S cars...
