Thanks again everybody, it's a great feeling as you all know!

Nol, Cus: I'm sure we all 'stretchers' are happy with our decision, I know I am

Mark: those red calibers look great on a red car there, maybe I should paint mine, I've been thinking about it... We'll see...

Suwpin, you're right, I'm there

bf, I took a picture of my airbox, here it is. It really is something I think you (& everybody) should do, really easy and sound is great after modification!

Thanks Tito, and yes, it (modification) is worth doing!

I think Edward's idea (making large holes) is good, large openings might not be so good looking on the airbox, but when it's on the car you don't see those openings much anyway.

Thanks for the pic of the airbox - I'm off to Sears to buy the right wood/airbox-bit for the drill!

Congrats! Nice car, and optioned right, too IMO. All you need now is RoW springs to drop it and you're set.

Flying Finn Congrats!!!
Nice car and IMHO the best colour combination choice
Enjoy her, I'm part of the group of stretchers but I tell you I'm soooo happy that the monthly payment does not hurt at all!!!
By the way here is my red baby! :

Hi Guys and Gals.

Just saw the airbox with all the holes.

Thinking of doing this. Few questions:

Any disadvantages doing this?
How many holes?

Is this what the Porsche Sound package is? (basically an air box with holes)

TIA

Here's a picture of my answer to the drilled airbox issue. I remove the cover completely, and use clips to hold the filter in place. I place a simple filter over the clutch vent and hold it in place with a clamp. It takes about five minutes to add or remove the cover, so I can switch whenever it moves me. If you are curious about this mod, or curious about purchasing a cut-up cover, try this first, as it’s free and reversible.

No broblem bf, let us know what you think (=how big grin) after the modification!

Ed, I totally agree with you, I was so happy to find a car with sport susp. & seats! Lowering is on top of my list, after that, more noise (=supercup exhaust), then wheels...then...

DJF1, nice cab! I gotta take my car to the track soon. And yes, it seems that there are lot of happy 'strechers' here!

Snoops, I drilled 45, could drill few more, but with this amount, pattern looks nice
Factory motorsound option is drilled airbox (it has more much smaller holes), chrome edge on airbox intake & exhaust tips (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Tom's idea is good, really simple and for sure there is enough air flow I personally like cover more, it looks nicer.
