Finally picked up my '96 993 the other day. Car is guards red w/ cashmere, 39k on the clock!
Crazy thing is, I just noticed that the car has Porsche crests in the headrests, although extremely faded. Being that these were embossed, what would it take for them to look like this? Can they be brought back to life? Also, anything on my options sticker that denotes the crests. From my research, I don't see an option code for the crests.

00051 code - Special order color
16981 code - this may be it? I do not know anything about this code. All of the other codes have info available.
Right. These were the only 2 unknown codes. Any idea if a Porsche COA would give me more info on the special order code? Clearly, there's nothing special order colorwise about guards red on cashmere. Really curious to know more about 00051 and 16981.

I wish! Sold the 964 to fund this purchase. I do miss the rawness of the 964 but a 993 C2 w/ 39,000miles vs a 964 C4 w/ 65kmi...I think I made the right decision for the long term
