The 1996 Porsche 993 GT2 was born out of homologation and the company's desire to race a variety of levels, including Le Mans.

Isn't there an error in the Rennlist link? The GT2 is RWD, not AWD.

Maybe its just me, but an AWD car, no matter how much horsepower can't be labeled a widowmaker. What a strange article, especially with the amount of hyperbole explaining incorrectly the GT2 drivetrain.
