Default G Box Colorado - anybody with a "bad" experience?

Weighing my options as far as my transmission re-gearing project is a concern. Many here on RL consider G Box to be a reputable transmission shop but after doing my due diligence searching the WWW reality appears to be different:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/GBOX/B...lorado-1222597

http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/GBOX-P...d-parts-935100

Anybody here on the aircooled side that can confirm this? Good and bad?

I have heard good things about GBox but if you want another option, California Motorsports was highly recommended to me. 928-230-9188. I believe they are in Lake Havasu.

I'd ship it to Steve.

If you wish to use my gears or LSD you will not be using Gbox. I closed their account about four years ago for a number of issues around both integrity and quality of work. They now sell Albins gears and OS Giken lsds.

Why not have Jim Burton do your gearbox? Or Autometrics? Or Lufteknic? No need to ship across the country.

He used to be co-owner of Euroworks in Monroe, but left the business a couple years ago. These days he's at the Hendrick Porsche dealership.

Really? That's maybe 80 miles away from us! Great and thanks again

So, how does this work? Officially through the Porsche dealership or, less official, through Jim Burton himself...? Just wondering.

Call the dealership and ask for Jim. He's not doing anything on the sly.

BTW, Jim moonlights as crew for Autometrics in IMSA.
