What's your next car going to be?
I thought of a 993 turbo but if I change cars, it may be time to move to 996 TT or GT3?
Has anyone else been through this thought process?
F355? - too brittle?
F360 - different price league.

Hard to tell-each time I do a mod-the car becomes "new" to me again. If anything, I might consider going to a nice older car (930 maybe) with more $$$ to spare on mods.

so many potentials but none as a replacement for my current car - 993TT, Audi S6 or allroad, 89 Speedster, 56-58 Speedster, 0r F355...or maybe a new bike - Monster Dark, Norton Sprint Special or MV Agusta F4S...

If I could ever get myself to sell my present baby (very doubtful) I'd get a GT3. I'm a huge fan of driving to the track, having a total blast, and driving home with no changes to the car. It sounds like an amazingly fun and capable car to do that.
I still like the looks of my car much better.

Vinny - I'm going through that "can i let go of the 993" process now.
I've got two young babies so the back seat would mean I would use my P-car a lot more than if I got a GT3. I have a deposit down for a GT3 RS - and the chance to own one seems to good to let go (particularly given the low-ish depreciation likely due to the limited number of RSs). But it would then be a strict fun car only as opposed to my 993 which we can get the babies into.
Other option is 996TT - awesome in all the write ups but lots of comments about the driving experience being removed etc - I think i need to test drive one.

I'm actually looking for an old beater pick-up truck! I need to go to Lowes for some fertilizer and a few bags of gravel & cement and I can't imagine using the new Cayenne for such a task after only having it a week!

Wait til you see what you are hauling in that Pepper for the team...
As to me, in order -- a 993 Cup car, a 360, a 427 Cobra, a Plus 8.
I'd really like to have a 962C like Dan in St. L, but I don't make the kind of money a lawyer does.

My only experience has been on the track with sutedents' cars so I wasn't at all testing the limits; however, I didn't feel as connected to the car as the 993. Anywho's, there certainly are a large number of 996TT enthusiasts, so it works very well for a lot of people.
Good luck with the RS !! No shortage of fun there.

Pretty much decided my 993 will be replaced with
a Brand New Boxster S or a 2000'ish Nissan Skyline
I don't really fancy a cheaper daily driver and keeping the 993 as a 'Sunday' car on the budget I have -
I'd rather have one decent car and DRIVE it.
Strangely this is a complete change of opinion from what I always thought I'd do. It would probably be different it the 993 had been a low milage immaculate example.
But if I could afford it, I'd be in the GT3 Queue
(and get a CLK or M3 Cabrio for daily use)

Keep the 993, sell the GT3 to Tom Hartley and use the monies to improve your 993.
With the cash you;d make on the GT3 you could easily fund a 3.8 engine rebuild
Or a new suspension <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />
see ya tomorrow
