They've become too big, poor steering and road feel, turbos and non manuals. Guess I'm old school.
Shhhhhh,

Don't tell anyone.

Whatever is happening as Porsche cleverly fools with re-branding 911's, much of it from various existing bins, the marketplace has spoken.
Manual transmissions for some of us, more than their management guru's expected, are wanted and needed, and will sell.

Default Special Allotment

I heard the car was Available from my local Dealers Sales Rep.

A couple of cars were Alotted -
The sales Reps called their Preferred Customers.
The allotment of Cars were Sold Based on the "R"
No details. Limited # Do u want it - Yes or No.
Gone
History

Kinda like Insider trading - Hmm Next Consider the Metzger $$$ Blip

I think we will see the 997.1 and 997.2 Cars Depreciate

I do not feel they will drop like a lead weight because they are not like any other car they are Special. But they will Decline.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program

Default Thoughts on new 911 R....

I read somewhere of a 600 car run.

Cheers,

Mike
A friend/customer which has a GT3 RS 991 already ordered a 911R and he told me they were doing 991 cars but it could be wrong guess. Looks like there are two 911 R allowed for our country and already both are ordered.

Can't wait to check it out!

I think that the new R might very well be the best thing since the 964RS/964 3.8RS.

After watching some more videos about the R, I conclude that if I had that type of money, there is no way in he[[ I would spend it on that car.

I can't drive that fast on public roads. I dislike all the attention the new 911s tend to draw. I don't spend any real time on the track. I get all the driver engagement I need from my trusty 993. Plus, I can try to fix it myself.

I am grumpy today.

I save up my "need for Speed" for a DE day. And have to agree, my 993 is about all the HP I can handle. I have been driving this trusty steed since December 1999, and don't intend to sell it, ever. I may make a few cosmetic change, which I am now doing, but the basic car remain that, basic. That is if you don't count the short gears and the MCS 2 way suspension, the 700F and 900R H&R springs with tenders, the Kinesis 3 piece wheels....

Grunpy Michael, go drive your car, and listen to The Dead Boys, precursor PUNK from the 70's.
