Who owns the most 993s?
Well I think we all know Opo has the most on RL. (although not sure how many) Who else has a collection or multiple 993s. Which models did you decide to own? Would love to see photos of them.

Rudy is certainly up there but I think the reality is many of the big collectors keep VERY low profiles. I have a few friends/clients that have absolutely MIND BOGGLING collections and you would NEVER know they even exist. Never bring them to events, post on forums, etc. I wish they would but I also can appreciate their desire for privacy. To each their own!

Hey Nathan. I guess they are a good asset in that respect. Hope you are all settled in. Sending you a pm...
Tcs, nice collection of cars and pair of 993s you have there.

Nathan is right , there's collectors out there that have lots of cars that we don't even know they exist , I only know what I have and I don't hide them , I take them to car shows , put them on Instagram , Facebook forums and drive the heck out of them , I don't collect them to put them in a warehouse and never let see anyone see them , I'm proud of my cars and I always welcome any reenlist member that wants to come visit and see the collection 👍🏼 also the OP is referring to 993's only .LOW PROFILE ? What's that 😜

As for me, my 993 ownership was organic. In '04 life was good, and I was ready to move beyond the '92 C4 I'd had for a few years + I'd recently wrecked the RS America club racer. (I did find a replacement, but never converted it for track duty.)
Started shopping for a 993 Turbo, and one of the first ones ever modified for track duty came on the market. But I had a philosophical problem buying a car that cost more that $40K. (It was about $62K.) A friend's $30K-in-mods 3.8L C2S came up for sale, but it was a little too edgy for the cruiser/commuter on my then 100 mile round trip. Happenstance brought me the '97 4S with the full list of options--aerokit/sport seats/etc. 100K miles, but every receipt since new, and likely the first car Porsche paid to have the SAI job done. Took me about 7 minutes to do the deal.
And before I found the 4S, the other 993 I ended up with was being commissioned and built. A track rat '95 was sent to Steve Weiner to convert into an RS. A no cost build, I guess it was never truly comfortable to the owner. (Though he got into Spec Miata big time, and even ventured into the pro world of MX5 Cup.) I'd always wanted the car. After some lookie-loos, we ran into each other at Laguna in January '07, and he threw an attractive enough number at me that it took me about 1.5 minutes to decide.
Both serve their purpose, though the 4S hasn't been used in nearly two years and the faux RS was damaged 3.5 years ago with no timetable still to ever getting around to repairing it.
No plans to add another at current prices. I'd ditch both of them yesterday for monentarily equivalent early/earlier 911s in need of restoration.

Public - full scale, it is Rudy. the classic mod king!
Lots of folks seem to have 2 or 3 (much like Lays potato chips, hard to have just one)
Now we are talking full scale right and not 1:8, 1:18, 1:43, or 1:87 correct?
Otherwise a few of us may give Rudy a run for his money ... (even given his office view).
