FS Fan housing - Reduced price
I ended up with a spare fan housing after repairing mine instead, so this ones up for grabs:
Original Thread
Fan Housing from a 964, suitable for a 95 993 or later 993 with AC delete or if you don't care about the AC hose routing bolt. See post #14 in original thread:
Price: $300 $275 OBO shipped. (This is merely my cost with bead blast and shipping included. FleaBay is hundreds higher for crappier stuff... )
Here are before and after pics. Before, the fan bearing was shot on the 964 this came from and the fan was dragging on the shroud. This shows up drastically in the before photo. It was not out of round at all and was an issue of a dying bearing and belt tension pulling down. IF it were out of round, there should have been marks on the top of the housing as well, which there were not.
After bead blasting, any fan housings' warts will show. My own fan housing looked similar, and was confident when I painted and re-used it. I have photographed in detail and shown anything I saw in my photos. I included them all and not just the one that "looked good for a quick sale". I can take more photos and reinspect if anyone has questions. Please ask if you want more pics.

First to post here with commit to buy is the new owner as long as payment is done in reasonable time frame. IF you have questions, please post them here or PM me.
Cheers,
Keith

HaHa! Hardly, since I've listed a price. Unless "OBO" is interpreted to mean "higher offers excepted", which I've never known to be the case when OBO is used... I meant "first to respond", not "auction winner"....sorry about that. Wording clarified above.
I'm shocked this thing hasn't gone yet. Folks should contact me if they have questions, concerns, an OBO they want to run past me. Otherwise I might have to resort to FleaBay....ugh.
ps.
BTW, if you've got an old junker shroud sitting around that isn't worth anything, I know someone looking for one for a project.

Keith, I think it is just too cheap. Delete this thread, start another one next month for $400 and it will go 'like that'.

Or just post it on fleaBay for $600 like I've seen others for... Really it is timing isn't it....no one needs one now. but I can wait.

"Need"? Me thinks want for your next crazy project. But need/want is such a fine line...
Or is it really "need" since the "Dung (Super) Beetle" is now rusting away after all the protective cosmoline removal? Perhaps fan shroud corrosion due to prolonged Zenit fume exposure?
And don't hope too much, 'cause don't all 993 prices just go UP?
