Default 993 TT blank key

Hello to all,

I need your help figuring out how to secure the blank key to the key head; this is a spare key I bought for my 993...Do i just push the blank into the 2 holes in the key head?

Yep, push it in and it will lock together.

Curious where you're going to have the key cut? Guessing it's worth the expense of a locksmith as the key blanks aren't cheap.

Yes, I was thinking going to a lock smith close to my house, just to be sure it will be cut properly; I am avoiding Home Depot!

I had a blank cut at the local locksmith last week, works great. I don;t think I would trust the local hardware store with a $25 blank.

Use a good locksmith its easy to cut the key i prefur auto locksmith

Most of these blanks are steel and require a special cutter on the key machine. Be sure to tell the locksmith of this possibility or they may trash their cutter. The simple magnet test will work here. I've seen both steel and plated brass blanks in my time.
