Default Upgrading Shifter **** and boot?

I have to replace the worn out shifter ****..... I was wondering if another model fits that looks better or an aftermarket one someone used and likes. Pics would be great. 95 C2 Cab

I really appreciate all the help I'm getting...I just bought this car and it needs a lot of work. I cant post a picture now because everyone will laugh at me...it's pretty beat up..not dented or anything but high miles and inside and out faded and ripped from not being cared for. I'm in the process now of bringing it back including a total repaint.

I have the carbon and metal (alum.?) one on mine. Because it is assembled in pieces, it is now starting to feel loose, like the metal bits are coming apart from the carbon fiber. I was planning to rock the weighted one commonly found on the C4S:

These guys have an ebay shop and will make a shifter and boot in the appropriate colour for your 993's interior.

Due diligence necessary. Search the archives here for AGLA and Alan Gun, and see lots of postings like this one ("Alan Gunn Leather Accessories (AGLA)screwed me" ): https://rennlist.com/forums/911-foru...crewed-me.html

By worn out do you mean the leather? I got some leather dye and mine looks almost new.

The previous owner of my car installed a 993 RS shift **** and I Really like it. It fits perfectly in my hand, and still has an OE look. I don't have any pics of my own, but this is from when he owned it:

^^^^ THIS! I just upgraded to a Tequipment **** this season and love it!! It feels so right in my hand. My old setup was a weighted Turbo/C4 **** and that felt pretty good too (pictured in the pelican link in post #3). And before that one I had the standard original E.T. looking shiftknob which was really plain in feel.

And for a different approach ... an older boxster **** works great. You can just slap it on (although the boot doesn't match up) or have it custom Wrapped. Here's mine, with custom leather like everything else:
