OT: Looking for suggestions on a new floor jack
I'm in the market for a new floor jack. I'd like to get something that is reliable and others have had success with. I'm tired of my pos craftsman jack, and would like something that is nice and low that will easily slide under the 993 and the MINI. However I don't want to spend $550 on the AC Hydraulic DK13HLQ.

Arcan XL35 3.5 Ton Low Profile Jack. Sometimes available at Costco but I have seen lately they have a smaller, non-low profile jack (don't get that one). I have seen this Jack at Northern Tool for $189. I have the Costco version and I love it, never failed me. One negative is it is very heavy.

I've been shopping for a new jack as well, and the Arcan 3.5ton low profile keeps coming up as a popular model. There's a lighter aluminum 2ton version that might be better if you're concerned about the 109lb weight. I think it's about 40 or 50 lbs.
Even Harbor Freight has a very highly rated Pittsburgh 3.5 ton low profile which sounds like it should be cheap Chinese junk, but with overwhelmingly positive reviews. For under $100 on sale with cheap shipping, I would give it a shot.

I'm happy with this one. Excellent range, price point, and availability. It has proven to be very reliable in repeat use over the past ~2 years.
Usual HF disclaimers apply.
